FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) offers an opportunity for middle school students to design, build and compete with a robot constructed of LEGOs and to create and deliver a 5 minute research presentation on the annual competition theme. Our inaugural Louisiana Regional Championship was held in 2003 with 15 teams and expanded to over 130 teams in the state with 11 qualifying tournaments leading to the Regional Championship in 2014. The 2015 theme is "Trash Trek: Finding Better Ways to Manage our Trash". From collection, to sorting, to smart production and reuse, there is more to your trash than meets the eye. We are in the process of updating our website, but in the meantime, see below for important 2015 season registration and dates. Links will be activated as information is avaialble.
2015 National team registration opened on Monday, May 5 at 11:00 AM!
Don't wait until the last minute! Registration in Louisiana will close at the end of September OR when all the LEGO Field Set Up Kits are gone, which may be earlier.
There were some significant changes in the FLL national registration process last year, which will be continued for the 2015 season. Teams will be registering in the Team Information Management System (TIMS) and, as part of a new initiative called the FIRST Youth Protection Program (YPP), FLL teams will be required to have two registered coaches who will receive background checks.
Detailed information regarding registration can be found in our Team Portal: How Do I Register?.
